Join the Walk led by fife & drum and the Second New York Regiment reenactors as we follow along the route of the Continental Army as they departed Dobbs Ferry for Yorktown, Virginia, on August 19, 1781
Then, at 2:00 pm at Mead House, Dobbs Ferry Historical Society Headquarters, 12 Elm Street, join us for a free, all-ages program:
Talk to costumed reenactors about life in the Continental Army
- See historical artifacts and reproductions, including a tent, uniforms and everyday items used by soldiers, Native Americans and colonists
- Kids can muster in and drill with the 2nd NY
- Learn about fashion and makeup from a lady of the period
- Refreshments will be served
- Make your own ice cream sundae
